    Apophysis-j description

Free Java port of Apophysis, the fractal flame editor

Apophysis-j should run on any computer equipped with a decent java environment and bring the capabilities of this wonderful program to the Mac and Linux users at last.

Due to the way memory is allocated by an executable jar, only images of limited size can be rendered internally if the program if started by double-clicking the icon. You have to use the command line to control the memory usage.

Also, like the Windows version, apophysis-j can rely on the standalone flam3 renderer to produce final images.

    Requirements:

    · Java

    · Fixes a bug where selecting mutant prevents subsequent rendering.
    · In variation panel, replace labels by buttons, allowing to toggle values.
