The Unangband project is a variant of Angband that has a distinct flavor. You adventure in Tolkien's world, through towns and wilderness and multiple dungeons, journeying from Bree towards greater and greater danger.

This variant roughly doubles the monster list, expands the class-based system of Angband with numerous possible specialties that let you fashion a unique character, offers an absurd variety of terrain, and includes a bunch of major interface improvements, including better presentation of graphics and an experimental isometric view.

Unnamed Angband adds over 100 class/style combinations to Angband, 60 new spell books and spell related objects, over 500 new monsters, 130 new spells, 196 features, 230 room descriptions and slightly modifies combat and monster spell casting.

NOTES:
1. This is a work in progress (and moreover interim, by Bandobras) release, so please save often and report bugs. Savefiles are compatible, unless the level you are on has fallen out of the levels range of the current dungeon, so it's safest to upgrade when in Rivendell, Bree, Hobbiton or Bucklebury (their depths are unchanged).
2. To play the freshly downloaded competition savefile, load the character, quit, start again, answer 'y' to quickstart question and you'll have no problems with some dungeon guardians prematurely dead (those not in the game when the competition savefile was created). Doing quickstart every time you die you'll also get more monster memory, which is OK in this competition (since code-diving is allowed, anyway). Social-status scumming to become a king's only child is not OK.

Game Play:
· Add low level spell to allow Masters to light rooms.

· Make Cure Poison mushrooms cure poison instead of slowing it.
· Rebalance some master summoning spells to be more useful at lower levels, as well as balance some of the resulting summons.
