Embark on an epic adventure and find your way through a beautifully rendered pixelart world by battling savage titans using your only mean of attack: a bow and one arrow. #Adventure game #Titan fight #Action game #Fantasy #Adventure #Titan
Titan Souls is a challenging 2D adventure game in which you take the place of a nameless warrior in an epic quest to destroy ancient titans.
If it sounds pretty straightforward, well, that’s because it is. While playing Titan Souls, you will have to find your way through a beautifully rendered and gigantic pixel-art world and explore ruins or temples to uncover savage titans.
Titan Souls’ philosophy is based on simplicity, but don’t be fooled, this is not an easy game, as precision, skill, and patience will play key roles. Clearly, the main highlight of the game are the awesome boss fights, with each monster having its own style of attack and vulnerabilities.
By now, you should know that your only mean of attack is represented by the hero’s solitary and indestructible arrow, which can also be summoned back to you, but at a risky cost of inability to move for a second or two. The key is to find the titan’s pattern of movements and exploit its hidden weaknesses by properly unleashing your attack at the exact propitious time.
It would be a shame not to bring up Titan Souls’ both beautifully rendered world and its smooth soundtrack. The world, despite the fact that it is empty and the titans being the only “living” creatures you will encounter, it provides you with a feeling of both loneliness and littleness.
You will also be accompanied all the way through the game by a slowly building soundtrack that will immerse you even more in the game’s surprisingly catchy atmosphere.
To sum up, Titan Souls is a 2D action game that’s focused only on one-on-one battles, and nothing more. There is no character progression, as there are no other enemies except for the 20 titans, no side quests to distract you, no other weapons, no nothing.
All you get is a pure old-school combat experience that is based heavily on trial and error, basically, you die, you learn, you succeed. But this exact thing, the possibility of multiple failures that ultimately lead to success, is probably the most important aspect of any game, and is definitely a perfect recipe that makes Titan Souls so engaging and interesting.
