What is Sudoku? It is a brainteaser coming from Japan, very popular in many countries around the world.

There are scientific researches describing the mathematics behind Sudoku, and many teachers recommend it as improving logical thinking, but foremost it is a very enjoyable and intelligent puzzle game.

There is only one very simple rule: Fill in the grid so that every column, every row and each of the nine 3 x 3 boxes contains all digits from 1 through 9. Sounds easy? Try it out!

The aim of Sudoku Companion is to make solving Sudoku puzzles more convenient.

Sudoku Companion won’t solve anything for you, that would ruin all the fun, but it will allow you to enjoy solving Sudokus on your Mac without paper, pencil and bottles of Tipp-Ex.
