The game’s overall atmosphere is dominated by a strong sense of loneliness, and the soundtrack emphasizes this fact even more, but, it has to be said, the gameplay isn’t what you would call engaging.

Yes, your imagination is touched a bit while playing this game, and yes, the motivation mostly comes from your empathy towards Canny’s situation, therefore, you should not expect more than a relaxed gameplay from Scrap Garden.

If you are a real platformer genre fan, then you should give Scrap Garden a spin and see if there is more to Canny’s story than meets the eye. Unfortunately, it is quite possible that users who aren’t all that into this specific genre might find Scrap Garden lacking a little bit of salt and pepper.
