Inside Job is a free and open-source Mac OS X application that enables you to edit the alpha inventory for the popular Minecraft game.
Inside Job features a native Cocoa interface, an experimental ability to edit the "time of day", searchable item lists by item number or name and a drag and drop inventory editing with item images.
The application works by interacting with Minecraft's level.dat files that are located in your ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/World folder. Before using Inside Job, make sure you back up your Minecraft data, as there is a chance that your files be completely destroyed.
You are advised to exit any Minecraft world before opening Inside Job. You will be able to view the inventory from the first world once opened. The Command 1 through 5 keyboard shortcuts will help you switch between world inventories.
The main window displays your available items and you can use the item list on the right to add items to an inventory slot. You can also rearrange items by dragging them to other empty slots. It's also possible to copy items by holding the CMD key while mouse-dragging.
