Moai: Build Your Dream For Mac

Moai: Build Your Dream is a building and time management OS X game in which you take on the role of a man who has to build things in order to restore the former glory of an island.

From the firsts seconds, you are provided with a simple story that details your unexpected arrival on the island, after your hot air balloon crashes. You are then found and saved by the indigenous people, and you are forced to struck a deal: you build things and help restore the island’s glory, and they help you get home, in return.

As Moai: Build Your Dream starts, you are taken through some simple and quick tutorials that will make it easy for you to learn the basics. The scenes are vividly colored, and the overall environment is not bad, for a game of this sort. The animations are simple and don’t disappoint, and the music is not what you would call entertaining, but, at least it does the job of not boring you to death.   You should know that this game is almost perfect if you just want to relax, as almost everything in made to be as easy as possible. You will have to go through more than sixty levels and on the way you will have to earn more than 50 achievements.

Moai: Build Your Dream is not at all challenging and finishing the levels is not a very hard task, but you will find that earning 3 stars on all the levels to be quite difficult, if that is what you are aiming for.

If you have ever played similar games, then you already know that these type of games don’t really offer you much in terms of action, except maybe in the later levels where you will have to battle with some strange ghosts.

But, probably the best thing about Moai: Build Your Dream is the fact that you will always have something to do, either you will construct buildings or you will gather resources by hovering with the cursor over the crops or mills.

While Moai: Build Your Dream clearly doesn’t revolutionize the genre, but it doesn’t disappoint either, as it brings to the table a surprisingly engaging gameplay, good graphics, decent soundtrack, and an overall relaxing gaming experience.
