Light Fall is eye-catching 2D platformer game that takes place in a shadow-filled world of Numbra where you will have to plunge into an adventure and divulge the mystery behind a strange disappearance of all the people from the land.

The thing that will probably come to mind when you first play this game is how strong the resemblance is with one of the most popular platfomer out there, namely Limbo.

But, whereas Limbo is all based upon slow movements and makes everything feel sluggish, Light Fall is exactly on the opposite side of the scale.

It only takes a few moments with the game to get totally hooked, partly thanks to an intriguing story and partly thanks to the narrator’s brilliant voice. Stryx, the Night Owl and the narrator, will be your companion in your endeavor and adventures, but be sure not to make him angry though.

With careful attention to details, the three fellow development team behind Light Fall have really managed to obtain some very satisfying and responsive mechanics. While you will notice how subtle your inputs must be at times to get a jump right, the balance between inertia, gravity, speed, and momentum is spot on.

The most interesting aspect of the game is something called Shadow Core - the base mechanic, which you will surely enjoy as it makes the gameplay quite flexible. It actually means that you can instantly summon a block-shaped magical artifact right under you while mid-air.

And that’s not all, as besides using it as a mobile platform, there’s so much more you can do with the Shadow Core like block incoming damage, disarm traps, solve puzzle and unlock doors, use it at counterweight in leverage settings.

By now it’s clear as daylight that Light Fall is backed up by some great amount of work and passion and it is a very well-thought out platformer that manages to get right all the elements that make a great game in the genre.

With a carefully crafted story, flexible and responsive game mechanics, a very distinct art style that takes you through visually pleasing environments and a soundtrack that is worthy of hours of listening, Light Fall is what we would call, a top notch adventure puzzle platformer game that's worth supporting.
