JMRI For Mac

JMRI is a software collection intended for model railway enthusiasts that want to control their railway from the computer. JMRI runs on the Java Runtime platform, and the software package includes the DecoderPro, PanelPro and SoundPro applications that can be used to access and interact with the program.

Working with DCC decoders and programming them can prove to be cumbersome, at least when dealing with complex functions or patterns. The DecoderPro application relies on the JMRI interface to communicate with the decoders while also delivering a friendly GUI.

Once you switch to the programming view you will be able to set the locomotive direction and power source conversion, the motor acceleration and deceleration rate, control the basic speed, create a custom speed table and function map, or handle analog controls.

The PanelPro component of the JMRI project offers you the possibility to develop custom control panels that can be used to interact with turnouts, sensors, or signals. The app allows you to set custom backgrounds, work with buttons or text labels, and so on.

The SoundPro utility enables you to create audio tables and define audio objects (listeners, buffers, or sources) connected to your railway. The app enables you to load custom .wav files, takes into consideration the listeners position, and can be used to control the sound playback.
