Hockey Nations 2011 for Mac
Hockey Nations 2011 is a fun 3D hockey simulation game where you can play with 18 different international teams as well as with 40 city teams. The game can only be played in single player mode against the computer AI.
Although it’s not as feature rich and complex as other hockey simulation games, Hockey Nations 2011 comes with 6 different action-packed game modes, such as Practice, World League, Go for Gold, Shootout, Exhibition and Playoff.
As mentioned previously, Hockey Nations 2011 features 18 of the best international teams that you can play with: USA, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Great Britain, Russia, Denmark, Norway, France, Latvia, Czech Republic, Belarus and Japan.
Furthermore, you can attempt to conquer the Playoff Cup with one of the 40 customizable city teams. Using this feature, you can take any of these teams and match the name of your favorite team, no matter which.
To give you a more exciting hockey experience, the Hockey Nations 2011 game also enables you to start out fights between your team and the opposing players. With this ability, you can get cooldowns for your team by fighting your way into the penalty box.
Considering its low budget, Hockey Nations 2011’s graphics are quite beautiful. What’s more, the environment is 3D and the animations are motion-captured by a camera that’s moving as you switch players. In addition, the controls are super easy to get used to and so is the gameplay.
To sum up, Hockey Nations 2011 for Mac OS X is not extraordinary in terms of features and visuals, but it may provide a realistic and genuinely fun experience to ice hockey fans.
