Flash Tactics: Vacant Steel is an open source arcade 2D real-time tactics game. It's meant to be very simple while allowing the player to use common-sense tactics.
The Flash Tactics: Vacant Steel game will allow you to command 3 UN tanks in a never-ending battle.
It is sometime in the near future, war has erupted between Asia and the rest of the world, which is now united into the super-country called the UN.
Korea's leader declared war on the US nation and struck Los Angeles with a bio-weapon, killing 90% of the city's population in the first week and spreading across the North American continent, Yielding innumerable casualties and turning the North American continent into a third world nation within a couple of months.
The rest of the UN, fearing a very sudden strike on their soil, launches a preemptive attack on Russia, aiming to destroy every major city in Asia's domain with land-based nuclear bombs, rendering Asia helpless, and ensuring world peace under one central power.
On the forefront of this strike are the three lowliest members of the UN's army; cannon fodder.
NOTE: To run Flash Tactics: Vacant Steel on your Mac you will have to open a Terminal window and, after navigating to the game's folder, issue this command from the command line:
python Flash Tactics.py
