Flappy Bird for Mac
Flappy Bird is a clone of the greatly popular iOS and Android game with the same name created by Dong Nguyen. The gameplay is super simple but achieving high scores can turn your hair gray. Other times, you might end up breaking your phone.
The goal is to help a little bird flap its wings and fly through as many pipes as it can. In the mobile version, you had to tap the screen to fly up, but in the desktop version, you have to click the main window.
Furthermore, there are 2 major differences between the original version and this one. First of all, the game looks more polished and the illustrations are high in quality in the desktop port. Secondly, the bird flies and descends / ascends more slowly, thus making it easier to control.
As far as the other features go, the games are quite alike. The main menu displays the “Get Ready” message and, during the game time, your score will be displayed at the top of the window. In addition, at the end of a round, your current and highest scores will be displayed.
In a nutshell, Flappy Bird is a free indie game for the Mac OS X platform that comes with a minimalist but addictive gameplay. It is not as difficult as the mobile version, and the user interface does not look as edgy, but the game still has high replayability value.
