Barrels for Mac
Nine times out of ten, when you’re playing a game and explosives are involved, you’re either playing a first person shooter or some type of strategy based title.
Barrels is neither, but it does provide its good measure of fun if you’re into blowing things apart in a virtual setting using dynamite.
The Barrels game comes with 15 levels designed to help you hone your barrel blow up skills, one step at a time. During each level you will be provided with multiple types of explosives, in the form of TNT sticks or bombs, that have to be strategically placed so that the barrel flies beyond 100 meters, the minimum goal to complete each level.
Every level features a number of specially crafted obstacles to hinder your barrel’s capability to fly as far as you need it to.
If you do manage to correctly set up your explosive in the perfect spot, the barrel will shoot out between all hurdles in an effort to reach the lowest required launch distance for completing the current level.
What's more, in order to enjoy game’s graphics at their fullest, you have the option to play in full-screen mode. However, if Barrels puts too much strain on your Mac’s CPU or video card, you can also choose to play it windowed mode.
Taking all of the above into consideration, Barrels may prove to be a spectacular past time if you’re a fan of big explosions and, of course, barrels.
Unfortunately, if you are not, you won’t be able to enjoy it in its full glory or to keep yourself entertained for long enough to justify the game's price.
