The app comes with real recordings of pouring rain, crashing waves, water streams, airplanes, chimes and much more. Moreover, White Noise offers an intuitive interface which makes it easy to organize the included sounds.

When opening the app for the first time, you will see a sidebar with shortcuts to all noises. Suggestive images for all sounds are also included. To listen to a sound, just click on it or use the built-in player and play the next / previous track, and users can also easily create playlists of sounds and mixes.

Another interesting feature is the Mix Pad, a place where you can add your favorite noises into a mix which plays all of them simultaneously. What’s more, you can even adjust the volume, pitch, variance and speed of each sound in the mix.

White Noise’s functionality is extended by the built-in clock that can be displayed in full-screen and the alarm. Thus, the application can be used as a noise generating source and alarm clock to wake you up.

Even more great features are available, such as timers that fade out the noise after a predefined period of time and the ability to import new sounds.

All things considered, White Noise is really a well-crafted tool with numerous handy features. The noises are diverse, can be put into mixes and playlists and the alarm clock is more than welcome. White Noise makes for a nice addition in your app collection, if you’re the type of person who likes hearing ambient sounds.
