Question Tools Editor for Mac
Question Tools Editor is a self-explanatory Mac OS X application specially designed to help you design and make your own exams, lessons, surveys, courses and tests.
Question Tools Editor comes with a user-friendly and intuitive interface from which you can easily check your content, access tutorial pages, find and create new content. Thanks to the built-in search engine, you can easily find an entry based on its name, description, availability, organization, type and status.
Thanks to the Record tab, you can easily create new content, place it in one of your groups and decide what type of content it is. You can choose between Exam, Lesson, Survey, Course or Message.
What is more, Question Tools Editor allows you to grand access to your content to students, teachers and administrators. All permissions and restrictions can be easily defined and set from within the Access tab.
Preview and publishing features
To create and edit your content you just have to “draw” your screen and question. Hence, you can drag and drop text areas, true or false buttons, shapes, pictures, hotspots, drags, multiple-choice buttons, text answers, audio clips, videos, menus and feedback.
In addition, you can set time limits, simple or complex marking and offer your students the option to retry difficult questions. When you are happy with your test, you can preview it in Question Tools Editor’s main window or in your Mac’s default web browser.
The Layout tab helps you rearrange and reposition items while the Advanced tab helps you apply your restrictions and time limits. You can also choose between multiple styles, screen sizes and results template. By accessing the Publish slide menu, you can preview the selected screen, all screens or exam in a web browsers and export your content as web pages.
