Optimism is a handy and easy-to-use mood chart application that provides the necessary tools to help you define various strategies in order to handle bipolar, depression and other mental or physical health conditions.

In other words, Optimism is a self-tracking utility that enables you to understand the aspects of your personal life that have a direct or indirect impact on your mental health.

By using Optimism, you will be able to identify patterns in your health and create, use different strategies to handle a wide variety of mental health disorders.

Optimism is available for free on the developer's website and can be easily installed by mounting the DMG disk image and copying the app to your Mac's Applications folder or via the App Store.

Optimism comes with a user-oriented interface from which you have quick and easy access to the demo data that is available for 30 days. You can delete the demo data via the Clear Data Range feature available under the File menu.

The Record tab helps you write notes, rate your mood and other relevant factors and at the same select the strategies you wish to use in order to ameliorate your state. You can also select multiple triggers and symptoms from the provided list or add new ones using the Custom window.

Thanks to the Charts feature, you can track, monitor and evaluate your condition by visualizing and analyzing your mood and sleep quality changes throughout the chosen period of time.

Optimism also helps you generate and print a report for a day of your choice while the Plan tab enables you to develop your stay-well plan.

The Print and PDF buttons located in the top toolbar allow you to print or export the previewed record, chart, report or plan to a PDF document. The Synchronization feature allows you to sync you data with other desktop or mobile applications.
