En-Es Speak It Up For Mac

En-Es Speak It Up is an educational Mac OS X application that helps you learn Spanish and English using more than 2200 flashcards. Besides displaying flashcards, En-Es Speak It Up also provides a flashcard management system and an efficient memory game.

As soon as you start En-Es Speak It Up, you will see a plain-looking “Dictionary” window that includes the flashcard list. The flashcards feature English words, phrases and sentences, as well as their Spanish translations, the priority (“new word”, “half-learnt” or “already learnt”) and the date.

The flashcard entries are displayed in a different color based on their priority. To open a flashcard, just select an entry you want to learn. You are able to sort the list by word or translation, add, edit and delete rows, organize the list based on priority and search within the flashcards by text.

Several options are available from the app icon contextual menu, such as playing and repeating the flashcard, toggling the English and Spanish sounds, selecting priorities, increasing / decreasing frequency, showing / hiding dictionary, accessing the memory booster and more.

The other major feature, the Memory Booster, is a game where you can improve your vocabulary and pronunciation in Spanish and English by listening and watching words in a language and matching them with words in the other language. Also, 3 modes are available: audio, visual or both.
