pacparser is a free and open-source library that parses PAC (proxy auto-config) files files.
These days, PAC files are a highly employed proxy configuration method. Web browsers can use a PAC file to determine which proxy server to use or whether to go direct for a given URL.
The PAC files are written in JavaScript and can be programmed to return different proxy methods (e.g. "PROXY proxy1:port; DIRECT") according to the URL, source IP address, time of the day, protocol etc.
pacparser is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. Binaries for the Windows and Linux platforms are available on the project's homepage.
