mpegsplit can split a system mpeg stream into the contained packet streams, especially plain video and audio streams. It is now a reentrant library that could be expanded into a multi-purpose reader of mpeg-encoded packet-streams.

· change some documentation to point out that the project is probably superseded by other projects. Make pointers there and update the homepage.
· disabled most of sourceforge project facilities and added two mailing lists as a replacement, so I don't have to look after the project anymore.
· Repackage the tarball correctly ... without the symlinks to some automake-files. Adapt Makefile.am in the course.
· Merge BUGS into TODO file.
