RabbitMQ is a Java client library designed to be used with specific Java Runtime versions in order to allow applications to interface with AMQP servers. The library is available both as a source archive and as a precompiled binary that also provides source code examples.
Currently, RabbitMQ is using the 0-9-1 AMQP specification, but also provides support for older protocols, such as 0-9 or 0-8. At the same time, RabbitMQ can also provide support for the AMQP 1.0 specification, but you will have to install an experimental plug-in.
To view the complete list of AMQP classes made available by the RabbitMQ Java client library, you can visit the developer’s website. The same area includes plug-in installation instructions, but also more extensive documentation.
