    Crossplex description

A free library for embedded operating system distribution development

Crossplex is a free and open source library of macros for make that enable enterprise-scale development of embedded operating system distributions, such as (but not limited to) those based on the Linux kernel and the GNU system of compiler tools and libraries.

The Crossplex macros can be called from any makefile, so they are easy to integrate into existing make-based build systems.
