Allows you to run Perl with Java

Jerl is a free, open-source and Java-based utility which allows you to run Perl scripts within JVM without requiring an external version of Perl.

In other words, Jerl virtualizes Perl to run within the Java programming language.

Jerl is a cross-platform utility capable of running on any operating system that comes with Java support (e.g. Mac OS X, Windows, Linux).
