Peppermint is a standalone and powerful source code editor that will help programmers write, edit, compile and run code in order to build applications easier on a Mac with the help of a single, self-sufficient tool.

Staring for hours on end at a console on a screen can get a little bit tiring and monotonous and, for this reason, Peppermint offers you the possibility to switch between 10 themes with different bright or dark colors, and levels of transparency meant to put your eyes at ease.

The good news don’t stop here though, because Peppermint can also be improved with the help of inbuilt plugins or extensions such as the pre-bundled “Run / Run with Arguments” one for AppleScript, CoffeeScript, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Python, Swift, C, C++, Lua, and more.
