Thanks to CSVEdit you can manipulated fields, add, remove and reorganize rows and add or delete columns. The Filter form helps you hide or show rows containing a certain string and locate them within the table. All the tools and features you need are available in the top toolbar and can be accessed with just a mouse click. As follows, you can add or delete columns and rows on the fly.
What is more, CSVEdit enables you to change the file’s characteristics in order to open SQL data extracts or any kind of row-based documents. You can change the field separator, select the quote and escape character along with the encoding system.
By accessing the Preferences window, you can add or remove field separators, comment characters, quote and escape characters. After performing the desired changes you can save the file using new delimiters or in a different file encoding if you need to translate between formats.

- New option in preferences to set default view settings for grid and line number for new documents.
- Document view settings for grid and line numbers are saved when document is saved.
- Double quote settings are initialized from the guessed file attributes.
- When adding a new column, it will be inserted after the currently selected cell (if there is one).
