.NET Core Runtime For Mac

.NET Core Runtime, also called CoreCLR, is an open source component, that, alongside the .NET Core libraries, form the .NET Core development platform. Basically, .NET Core Runtime enables users to run apps built with .NET Core.

It does all this with the help of its built-in components like a garbage collector, JIT compiler, base .NET data types and other low-level classes.These facts recommend it for a wide array of development scenarios, like machine code compilation, scaling from console utility apps all the way to web apps.

You should also know that, because .NET Core Runtime is cross-platform, you can install it on the most popular operating systems out there (i.e. macOS, Windows, and Linux) without any trouble.

This said, you can install .NET Core Runtime on your Mac directly from its source file with the help of the Terminal app. In order to do that, simply drag and drop the “build.sh” file from the app’s source file onto a Terminal window.
