FakeSMTP For Mac

FakeSMTP is a free Java-based desktop application that provides developers with a handy SMTP server with a graphical user interface for testing emails in websites or apps. It is capable of listing the sent / received emails, the SMTP log and the last message.

Working with SMTP server is quite simple, as you only need to configure a new account in your application with “localhost” as your SMTP server. Moreover, the listening port also has to be the same, after which you can start the fake server with a click of a button.

Soon after sending emails, the FakeSMTP app will intercept and list them in the Mails list tab. The following details are displayed in a column layout: received time, sender, receiver and subject.

What’s more, the emails are saved in the same location as the app; this option, however, is optional and can be enabled by specifying a folder name in the “Save message(s) to” field. You can also double click on each email entry to open it in your default email client.

FakeSMTP shows you the detailed SMTP log as well as the last received message with basic header details. An option to clear this information is available at all times.
