Linguan For Mac

Linguan is a Mac OS X application for iOS and OS X developers designed to help you localize your apps much easier than before. It basically allows you to edit the strings included in your Xcode project from an intuitive interface.

Working with Linguan is quite straightforward: you first import your .xcodeproj file and then the app automatically detects the strings which can be translated. More importantly, working with multiple languages at the same time is supported, too.

Linguan can tell you which translations are missing and detects the duplicate tokens. While viewing the strings of an Xcode project, you can also make modifications to the existing translations or create new ones and choose which languages to be included in the project file.

In addition to this, a search box allows you to find the strings you are looking for. What’s more, the application displays a summary of the app activity in the Log tab at the bottom of the main window, as well as some statistical information.

After analyzing the Xcode project and finding which tokens are missing, you can export them to your translator who can use any text editor for translating the missing tokens. The translator does his / her job, sends you back the translation file which you import in your project.
