Generating all the icons you need for your macOS or iOS projects, while making sure each format follows the Apple Interface Guidelines, can prove to be a both tedious and time consuming task. IconFly is a small but powerful Mac app designed to help you deal with this issue.

IconFly comes with a fairly intuitive user interface, so finding your way around is quite easy: simply drag and drop the image you want to process, and then select from the left side panel what type of icons you want to generate. Note that IconFly is also able to create web clip icons and favicons.

The next step is to press the Generate button placed in the bottom area of the main window: IconFly will create a preview for each icon format, and you can choose the export mode. The IconFly app can create icons sets, ICNS files, or can generate icons for specific iOS versions.

In the IconFly advanced settings panel you have the option to adjust the rounding parameters depending if the image size is smaller or larger than 1024X1024. Note that every time you generate a new set, you can decide to scale the image if the ratio is not 1:1.

When exporting the icons, you can choose to create a folder with the icon, or to set the icon on a folder. Besides the traditional preview options, you can also choose to visualize the newly created icon in your Dock.
