It makes it as simple as possible for you to test APIs and create, run, and organize HTTP requests with just a few mouse clicks.. #Test API #API tester #Check API #API #Tester #Controller
An API, short for application-programming interface, is a collection of routines, protocols, and other programming instructions that can be used for accessing a web-based app or for actually building applications.
Considered to be a software-to-software interface, basically, an API enables applications to be directly connected and to share information one whit each other, without the any user intervention.
Because working with APIs can sometimes require you to work with complicated Terminal commands or even browser extensions, the process can easily become quite a handful.
With a solution for this problem comes Hypernap, a streamlined and efficient macOS application that makes it as simple as possible for you to test APIs and also to create, run, and organize HTTP requests, without having your work obstructed by complicated procedures.
Once installed on your Mac, Hypernap can be accessed with a single click on its status bar item, but it can just as easily be removed and placed wherever it suits your needs on your Mac’s desktop.
The software enables you to add your own HTTP headers, and to post, trace, put, and delete data with just a few simple clicks. The test results will be displayed in three different panels: the first one is more focused on displaying the headers and all their characteristics, the second panel shows the body for the requested URL, while the third one will outline the JSON and XML documents.
In terms of customizability, Hypernap provides you with options to choose to be accessed via either a Dock icon, a menu bar item or with the help of a global hotkey. Besides this, for a touch of personal feel, you can also choose from a large collection of various icons for its status bar item.
Taking all things in consideration, Hypernap proved itself to be a well-thought-out application that, with the help of its user-friendly interface and its good balance between features and overall ease of access, can make your work with APIs be more efficient and seem more relaxing.
What's new in Hypernap 1.4.4:
- Accidentally left some code that caused the error message for untrusted certificates to show up on all SSL-connections, even if everything was fine. This is fixed now.
