Fork is a Git client that offers you the possibility to clone repositories or create new local projects and then manage their resources via a well-organized graphical user interface.

The Fork utility provides support for elementary capabilities when it comes to dealing with Git repositories, while the tabbed approach allows you to navigate between code collections with minimal effort.

Fork can work with local repositories, or you can clone collections hosted online by providing their respective URL. The app will download all the resources to your drive in a location of your choice.

If you are involved in multiple projects, keeping track of all of them can be quite challenging, and that is why Fork integrates a repository browser that enables you to find and open any of them in no time.

The Fork Search tool does not work within the repository manager, but you can bypass the issue by manually organizing the projects by category. As soon as you double click on any of the entries, Fork will open the repository in a separate tab.

Within the Fork user interface you can perform basic repository management tasks: fetch, pull, push, commit, merge, revert, and so on. At the same time, you can also commit changes, view all the files included in the repository, and resolve merging conflicts.

Fork comes with a conflict manager that offers you the possibility to see both the staged and unstaged files, and you get to see what files present issues and choose the version you want to keep.

Fork comes with a differences viewer that highlights the lines that have been changed in the source code files. This way you can easily identify the latest changes and resolve possible issues.

Bottom line, Fork proposes an alternative solution for managing, organizing and accessing Git repositories.

The Fork  utility allows you to open the repository page in your default web browser, but handling the tasks through the application will prove both straightforward and time efficient.
