FBX Review for Mac
Sharing 3D projects with others can prove to be problematic if your team members do not have software that can open .fbx files installed on their computer. At the same time, 3D authoring apps use up a big chunk of one’s resources.
Import 3D files with drag and drop actions
FBX Review is a Mac app designed to quickly open 3D animations, allows you to review the included assets and preview the final result, while taking up significantly less system resources: on a 2GHz Intel Core Duo iMac with 6GB RAM, FBX Review took up to 60% CPU power and 300MB RAM, when opening a 23MB FBX file.
Working with FBX Review is extremely intuitive: to open FBX files you can use the appropriate button placed in the bottom left corner of the app’s window, or drag and drop the file on top of the viewing area. To preview the entire animation, use the basic player toolbar placed in the bottom area of the viewer window.
Customize the 3D visualization mode
FBX Review comes with a set of efficient tools that allows you to adjust the way in which you see the 3D animation. You can easily change the camera angle, the item texture, toggle the scenery lighting, or use your mouse scroll button to zoom in and out.
Further customization options are included in the FBX Review Settings panel. Here you can chose to see scene statistics, change the default shading mode, enable the real-time tesselation mode, select the interface scale, and much more.
User friendly viewer for 3D animations
FBX Review proposes simple yet efficient tools for visualizing 3D animations together with all included assets. The application enables you to quickly adjust the shading type, to toggle the wireframe overlay, to enable the scene lights, and more.
The best part of using FBX Review is that your projects can be visualized by users that do not have 3D authoring suites installed on their Mac.
