Dashboard is an application used for hosting mini-applications known as widgets. Despite the lightweight of theseswidgets, when you hare running dozens of them, they takes a lot of memory, especially on old computers.
Because Apple doesn't allow users to quit Dashboard, Dashquit was created enabling you to quit Dashboard in a single click.
To quit Dashboard, just click on the stop button on the widget's left and confirm by pressing the "Yes" button. You can disable the confirmation in the preferences.
When Dashquit is launching, it computes the amount of memory (RAM) that Dashboard is using and display it in the little screen. You can refresh the amount of RAM by clicking the screen or you can enable the timer in the preferences.

To prevent you from quitting Dashboard accidentally, Dashquit ask you to confirm before quit. You can disable the confirmation in the preferences.

A timer updates the amount of memory (RAM) that Dashboard is using each minute. You can enable the timer in the preferences.
· Animation
Because Mac OS X is the user experience, Dashquit use animations to access the preferences or to show the confirmation panel.
