MathMagic Lite is a standalone application that includes everything you need to edit mathematical expressions and make them look professional. The utility is able to deal with most cases encountered while dealing with high school math exercises.
At the same time, the MathMagic Lite projects can be easily incorporated in more advanced word editors such as Pages, Keynote, iBooks Author, or apps included in the Adobe suite.
Worth mentioning is that the MathMagic equation editor comes in multiple editions and that the MathMagic Lite version is specifically designed for personal use only. This means that the projects created with this version of the software cannot be used in commercial materials.
Moreover, when you launch the MathMagic Lite app you will be prompted to install the MathMagic fonts library: this step is required to make sure that the app will correctly display all the elements in the mathematical expressions.
MathMagic Lite comes with a modular user interface that helps you stay organized and arrange the various panels any way you like. The main window is reserved for the editing and includes buttons for most tools necessary when writing down equations.
At the same time, MathMagic Lite comes with a separate panel where you get to explore the built-in clip samples and include any of them in the current project with drag and drop or with a double click. Using the same procedure, you can also add new equation clips to the collection (you also get to assign them hotkeys).
To sum up, MathMagic Lite brings to the table everything you need to start writing down equations and expressions encountered in elementary to high school math and integrates templates to help you deal with the task faster.
The MathMagic Lite equations can be easily transferred to other word processors, but you can also export the data to SVG, PNG, or PICT image files.
