To archive these series of images you can use different archive types, such as ZIP to create CBZ files, TAR fro CBT, ACE for CBA, RAR for CBR and 7z to generate CB7 packages. At the same time, you need to use applications that can support these file types in order to be able to open the comic book archives.

Mangao is a minimalist comic book viewing application that is able to open certain file types and archives related to comic books. Specifically, Mangao is able to open CBZ, CBR, CBT, PDF, MBDL, CVBDL, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIF, TIFF and CBTC files.

Using Mangao is extremely easy: simply drag and drop the comic book you want to browse on top of the main window. From the Mangao main menu you can choose to view only one page at a time.

You can use the arrow keys and different keyboard combinations to be able to browse the document or to specify the time interval between different slides. The app also provides a loupe window that will help you zoom certain areas, but also allows you to view only half the page.

Other customization options include the possibility to change the background color or to read the comic books in full screen mode.
