Timecop For Mac

Knowing exactly how much time you spend working on a specific task is very important, especially if you are a freelancer. Timecop is a small but efficient time tracking app that can record this type of data while staying out of your way.

At launch, Timecop will place a new icon in your status bar menu which provides access to the app’s main panel. Here you can easily view your projects list and see how much time you spent working on each one. Of course, you can easily add new entries.

On the left side of each entry you will be able to view the recording button: press it to signal the app that you have started working on that particular task: the button will become red to signal that the project is currently active and you must press it again to check out.

Timecop is able to show you how much time you’ve spent in a specific application this month.

The best part is that you can see all the sessions associated to a specific projects and apply various filters: you can view your activity for the current day, week or month. Of course, Timecop  will also automatically calculate the total amount.

Noteworthy is that Timecop offers you the possibility to create personalized keyboard combinations for quickly switching between projects. Moreover, the app can recognize idle time and offers you the add it to a specific project or task.

Timecop is capable to integrate with you Basecamp Classic or Harvest accounts so you will be able to export your database in no time. Moreover, you also have the possibility to save your statistics in a CSV file.
