Secret Files Pro 1.6
Straightforward and password protected UI
At launch, Secret Files Pro places an icon in your status bar menu which provides quick access to the app’s main window. This way you can have quick access to your important data. However, given the purpose of the app and the relevant name, you might want to hide the menu bar icon (unfortunately, via the Preferences window you can hide only the Dock icon).
Nonetheless, to make sure that the files hidden by Secret Files Pro remain private, the app makes you set up a pass key for accessing the main window.
Quickly hide files and folders
The Secret Files Pro main window is separated in two areas: on the left you can create as many groups as you like in order to keep your hidden files organize, while on the right you can view the actual hidden files and folders in list mode. To hide an item simply drag and drop it to the second area.
Secret Files Pro will attach a check box to each file, which allows you to toggle the file visibility. Keep in mind that you must unhide a file before removing it from the list: otherwise, the file will remain hidden.
Basic security for your sensitive information
Besides the fact that the user interface is password protected, Secret Files Pro does not use any encryption methods for your files. The premise is that, if others don’t know where to look, your files should remain safe.
Secret Files Pro ensures a basic level of privacy, but keep in mind that, if by any reason somebody decides to reveal the hidden files for your entire system, the documents protected by the app will also be visible.
