A straightforward and cross-platform Mac OS X solution to designing custom mind maps and exporting them to an image or PDF format
When opening MindArchitect for the first time, you will be able to choose a style for the diagram, which range from colorful to simple black lines. Furthermore, the mind map starts with a central idea put into a resizable box to which you can append different branches.
Adding new branches is really simple. Just click the Plus icon at the bottom left of the central box or newly created boxes. Alternatively, you can use the “New Topic” item from the Insert menu. Furthermore, each text box can be easily resized and moved on the diagram using drag and drop.
MindArchitect allows you to insert text, images as well as tables. The great part is that images can be easily resized (by width, height or percentage) and you can add any number of rows and columns in the table. Of course, they can also be moved anywhere on the mind map.
Besides the aforementioned features, the application also comes with basic formatting options, such as changing the paragraph style and changing the font color and family. In addition to this, there are a wide variety of box styles you can choose from. Also, you can export the mind map in different resolutions as an image or PDF.
To sum up, MindArchitect is a no-frills, yet quite versatile OS X mind mapping solution. It offers a user-friendly set of diagram editing functions, plus the ability to insert tables, pictures and multiple types of boxes .
