Plan various trips and set up routes, and waypoints for your GPS enabled Garmin device
Garmin BaseCamp can be used to create routes for different types of activities, such as driving, motorcycling, walking, hiking, trucking, and so on. On top of the trip planning tools, Garmin BaseCamp allows you to download BirdsEye imagery, geotag photos, create / search for Garmin adventures, or to manage your devices.
Keep in mind that, to create new routes, Garmin BaseCamp must have access to detailed maps: you can decide to buy such maps, or you can connect a Garmin device that already has them installed.
Streamlined solution for planning trips or managing Garmin devices
Finding your way around Garmin BaseCamp is fairly easy: the main area is reserved for the map, the left side panel provides a list with the included trips, and the top window toolbar provides easy access to the most important functions.
The best part is that you can organize your trips around available lodging, restaurants, and other types of attraction types. The final map can then be transferred to your Garmin device and will prove to be very useful while on the road.
Comprehensive Mac utility for planning trips, geotagging photos, and downloading Garmin adventures
Garmin BaseCamp is able to communicate with your Garmin device and enables you to develop detailed plans and routes for different trips by employing custom maps.
