Edgies is an alternative application for Stickies. Edgies is a Stickies type memo and launcher program, but unlike Stickies, it won't take any space on your screen.
Just like Classic Mac's Popup Window, tab-style memo windows stick to the edges of the screen, dragging text to a screen edge makes a new memo tab.
Here are some key features of "Edgies":
· Simply click on the screen edges to create a memo.
· You can drag and drop texts and images to the screen edges to create a memo.
· [Supported Items] Texts, Images, Links to files, Bookmarks
· You can take notes whenever and wherever you want at the top, bottom, left, and right edgies of the screen.
· You don't have to open a memo. The balloon preview will show the contents just by positioning the mouse cursor on the memo.
· The memo windows don't stick to the edges all the time. You can "tear off" and drag it whereever you want.
· Edgies is not just a note application. It is a launcher too. Just like classic Mac's popup window, you can paste links or buttons to launch applications and folders.
· By dripping icons holding Command key, Edgies works as a shelf to keep files. You can create aliases on a memo, or move Finder items directly onto a memo. By dragging them to Finder, the items move to the destination from the original location.
· You can also drop items onto a folder pasted on a memo. As well as files, you can drop images from webpages onto a folder.
· You may want to save a memo as a file. Memos can be exported as RTFD files to a folder of users' choice, or to an assigned folder automatically. Properties also can be set as user's preferences.
· Clipboard item such as a text can be pasted as an archive.
· You can show/hide each memo independently, can add tags, comment, etc.
