Economix is a minimalist Mac app that can be used to keep track of your transactions, account balance and the state of your budget without having to deal with complex tools.

When you launch Economix for the first time you must start by creating a new database where you can store various types of transactions. The best part is that you can create as many databases as you like: you can keep track of multiple accounts, or even create separate files for your family members.

When you record a new operation in your Economix database, you can specify the date, the type (cheque, depot count, transfer, card, or auto transfer), the amount, the expense category, and a short description.

Note that you can set up new transaction types, expense categories, or short descriptions in the Economix Preferences window: this way you can make sure they perfectly match your needs. The same area allows you to assign different colors to credit or debit lines, to set up audio notifications for different instances and more.

Economix allows you to input the initial balance for your account when you start the database. Each time you make a new transaction, Economix automatically calculates the account balance and displays the results in the “Progressive Balance” column.

Last but not least, Economix offers you the possibility to set up monthly and yearly budgets for each expense category. Moreover, to help you analyze your expense patterns, Economix is able to generate reports for user defined time periods.

Economix is offering a simple and organized user interface for recording your transactions and keeping track of your accounts. At the same time, Economix can generate graphs to help you understand on what you are spending your resources.
