What's new in Ozone 6.1:

  • Produce louder, clearer, and fuller masters with Adaptive Release:
  • This new mode for the Dynamics module intelligently automates the difficult task of finding the right release times. The compressor actually responds to the audio in real time, adjusting the release values based on the transient properties of the incoming signal.
  • Without Adaptive Release, you’d have to pick an average release value to service both transients and sustained signals—or do twice the work! Adaptive Release does the hard work for you transparently, so you can dive right into the creative aspects of mastering without a frustrating learning curve.

Ozone is a comprehensive audio processing solution that provides its users with a plethora of efficient tools for effortlessly improving the quality of audio files in post-production via a 64-bit digital signal processor.

Modern looking user interface with all the right tools at just a reach of the hand

You can easily access Ozone’s tools and features by navigating through its main window and because the feature panels have self explanatory names.

What really makes Ozone great is the complete audio mastering system integrated in a single plug-in that includes eight powerful tools: multiband dynamics, multiband stereo imaging, mutiband harmonic exciter, reverb, maximizer, equalizer, post equalizer, and dithering.

Take control over your audio post-processing with the help of comprehensive equalizers and a exciter

Ozone’s equalizer and post equalizer form an efficient team by creating eight bands of custom filters shapes such as: Baxandall bass and treble, Band Shelf, resonant High and low Shelf, and Proportional Q.

With their help users can create targeted equalization profiles, perform precise equalizer tweaks, and compare mixes with the help of a spectrum analyzer.

Using Ozone’s Exciter tool, one can add tube and tape saturations, warmth to their mix, and accentuate the audio harmonics.

Adjust the sound signal and give it a professional feel with the help of Ozone’s Imager and Maximizer tools

Ozone’s Imager allows you to adjust stereo width, add depth and natural-sounding stereo width, add width to any frequency band, and easily access channel reverses. Also, the Maximizer gives sounds a more professional feel by preserving rhythmic detail and by keeping true analog levels in check.

Another worth-mentioning features is the fact that Ozone has powerful reduction algorithms, thus allowing you to dither and convert your sounds to 24, 20, 16, 12, or 8 bits.

Improve your audio modelling workflow with the help of straightforward yet useful tools

For your convenience, Ozone enables you to boost your workflow by allowing you to create signal paths, view your mastering chain, and reproduce your steps via the Undo History feature.

All in all, Ozone is a powerful and comprehensive software solution for audio post-processing for those who want to transfer recorded audio from a source to a master.
