iRingtunes X For Mac

iRingtunes X is a small Mac OS X app that offers you the possibility to use a snippet from your favorite song as the ringtone for your iPhone. The app works with tracks imported in your iTunes library, and exports the results to the iTunes “Tones” collection, so you will be able to import them to your iOS device in no time.

iRingtunes X comes with a minimalist user interface that provides access to most functions via its main window. Upon launch, iRingtunes X also opens your iTunes application and quickly imports your music library.

You will be able to navigate the tracks list and simply select the song you want to use as the base for your ringtone. For your convenience, iRingtunes X includes basic search capabilities.

In the bottom area of the iRingtunes X’s main window, you must specify the audio section you want to extract by defining the start position in the song, and the ringtone length expressed in seconds. To check if the selection is correct, iRingtunes X comes with a Preview function that enables you to playback the track before exporting.

If you are satisfied with the result, you can easily send the newly created ringtone to the iTunes library. The track will be placed in the “Tones” collection and you can effortlessly move it to your iPhone the next time you sync your device.

iRingtunes X proposes an intuitive workflow for quickly extracting snippets from iTunes songs in order to create personalized iPhone tones. However, the app does not provide any customization options, and comes with very basic functionalities.
