iChromatic Strobe Tuner for Mac
iChromatic Strobe Tuner is a powerful and versatile application that provides a chromatic tuner, guitar tuner along with an accurate rotating strobe tuner. On top of that, iChromatic Strobe Tuner helps you view your notes displayed on a keyboard image and a musical grand staff as a useful learning aid.
Thanks to iChromatic Strobe Tuner’s high-contrast strobes you can quickly, easily and accurately tune your favorite musical instruments. In addition to the two strobes, iChromatic Strobe Tuner offers a more familiar-looking tuning dials and fine tuning meters.
Once you managed to properly tune your instrument the strobe will stop spinning. However, if the strobe spins slightly clockwise then your note is slightly sharp. On the other hand, if the strobe is spinning out of control then your note is way out of tune.
The top toolbar helps you switch between the standard and the MultiStrobe mode and choose the desired note. By default the strobe on the left is in charge with the automatic note detection while the strobe on the right can be manually set to one note. The Manual Reference proves its utility if you are trying to tune your instrument in an environment with too much background noise.
The multi-strobe mode displays multiple strobes for all twelve chromatic notes and can be successfully used when you experience high background noise. If you rather use tuning dials and fine tuning meters you can access them from the panel below the two strobes.
By accessing the Preferences window, you can easily customize the Concert A frequency. Also, the approximate working range of iChromatic Strobe Tuner is from 2 octaves below to 2 octaves above Middle C, depending on the quality of the used microphone and the volume settings.
