TwistedWave For Mac

Complex audio processing suites come with a plethora of customization options, but also require a great chunk of your Mac’s resources. TwistedWave is a small utility that can perform common audio recording and processing tasks, without making you deal with complicated tools.

The TwistedWave user interface is represented by a single window that provides quick access to most frequently used tools: you can visualize the sound graphic representation, add markers, playback the content, normalize the sound, apply fade in or out effects, and so on.

Note that each track will be edited in a separate window, and that you can open multiple windows at the same time: this way you can work on more than one project concomitantly.

On top of that, you can also use TwistedWave to record and edit content captured by your own computer (within the Preferences window you can specify the output and input devices that should be used by TwistedWave).

TwistedWave comes packed with a collection of audio effects that can be easily applied to your own recordings: you can normalize the track, amplify the sound, insert silence, revert polarity, apply VST or Audio Unit effects, change the sampling rate, and so on.

What’s more, by setting up different markers, you get to split the recording into multiple files with minimal effort. TwistedWave comes with multiple export option, ranging from simply changing the file’s format to extracting only the current track selection.

TwistedWave is able to import most popular audio file formats, such as WAV, AIFF, MPG, MP4, M4R, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and so on. Similarly, on export, TwistedWave can convert the data to other formats (CAF, AIFF, AIFC, AAC, MPEG4, MP2, MP3, AU Audio, and so on), so it can also be successfully employed as a conversion utility.
