A lightweight and no-frills Mac OS X software utility that provides you with a simple way to control Spotify directly from the system bar
As soon as you start playing music in your Spotify application, the SpotBar app will display the basic information of what is playing in its menu bar panel. In other words, it provides a minimal controller of Spotify music.
Furthermore, clicking on the SpotBar icon on the system bar will open the actual panel. The following information can be seen: song name, artist, album, song length and album art. In addition, the app provides a next / previous button, a pause / play button and an interactive progress bar that shows the elapsed and remaining time.
There is not much left to discuss about SpotBar. As you might expect, when you pause the playback in SpotBar, the music stops playing in Spotify, as well. Likewise, when resuming the playback in SpotBar, it starts playing in Spotify, too.
Taking everything into consideration, SpotBar is a time-efficient OS X system bar tool that helps you easily take control over the music playback in Spotify. The app gives access to just basic playback controls and to essential track information, including album art.
