Soundflower is a simple application designed to be a virtual audio device in order to give Max/MSP and other applications the possibility to receive and send sound signals from and to any other app.
Soundflower is using a small part of your CPU and has a very low latency. As a result each client application can use its normal buffer size.
Soundflower comes with SoundflowerBed, which is a menu bar application that offers quick access to Soundflower channels and allows you to route them to an audio device.
