Sonogram allows you to analyse sound and speech files in the frequency domain. It is able to open most common video and audio files.
Sonogram transforms time-domain based audio information (samples) into the frequency domain using the transformation methods of "Fast Fourier Transformation" (FFT), "Linear Prediction Coefficients" (LPC), "Cepstral Analysis" and the "Wavelet transformation".
It extracts samples from multimedia files and daws them into the main window which shows the frequency information in a two-dimensional form (frequency-time area).
Sonogram has been programmed at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (Deutsches Forschungszentrum fuer Kuenstliche Intelligenz DFKI, www.dfki.de), and is a tool to analyze speech and sound signals with methods of the: Fast Fourier Trans.
