SlingPlayer Desktop for Mac
The Sling system offers you the possibility to access your cable or satellite TV subscription from multiple devices, including from a remote location. The initial setup requires you to connect the Sling device both to the TV provider source, and to the internet.
The next step is to create an account on the Sling website and associate the device: any time you connect to your Sling account, from any of the supported devices, you will be able to watch live TV, but also the shows that you have recorded.
Effortlessly access the Sling service from your desktop via an user friendly client
The Sling developers offer you the possibility to access your account via a web browser, from the desktop, or on a mobile device: the SlingPlayer Desktop application is what you need to install to be able to watch TV on your Mac’s desktop.
Finding your way around the SlingPlayer Desktop app is quite easy: you must start by providing your Sling credentials. Once connected to your account, you will be able to watch live TV or recorded videos in standard view, or in full screen mode.
User friendly desktop client for the Sling service that provides full access to your account
The SlingPlayer Desktop app provides support for most of the functions available on the Sling website: you are able to visualize all connected Sling devices and playback any of the available content.
Noteworthy is that the SlingPlayer Desktop app currently works only with the SlingboxM1 models, which means that if you are using other Sling devices this app does not present any interest. However, you can still access the Sling service on your Mac via certain web browsers, as soon as you install the necessary plug-ins.
