ScaleMaster for Mac3.2.1
ScaleMaster is practical and intuitive application designed to help musicians understand various key concepts concerning scales.
In music, a scale is considered any set of musical notes, which are ordered by frequency or pitch. If a scale is ordered by decreasing pitch is a descending scale, while ascending scales are ordered by increasing pitch.
ScaleMaster offers over 200 scale types in different keys and displays them in music notation. You can choose between four different clefs as follows: tenor, alto, bass and treble. On top of that, ScaleMaster comes with five different virtual instruments that can help you better visualize the scales.
All provided musical instruments (piano, mandolin, banjo, bass and guitar) are fully playable and feature overlays in order for you to view the scale degree and note positions in the current scale. In addition, you can shift the instruments into different positions.
The master list contains all scales along with the information related to their type and rating. Every time you make a new selection the displayed notation is automatically updated and the color-coded text along with the scale type indicator can help you distinguish different types more easily.
ScaleMaster’s chord matching function is capable to match a wide variety of chords to the appropriate scales. All matches are visible in the notation view along with the chord tones, which are highlighted in red. The chord matching feature comes in handy when trying to establish which scales you should use while improvising.
By using ScaleMaster, you can quickly and effortlessly look up scales in just a couple of seconds and match different chords and scales. It is worth mentioning that you can change the musical instrument, clef, chords and handedness from the Preferences window.
In conclusion, ScaleMaster is a useful and trustworthy application for both novice and professional musicians.
