A multi-featured and comprehensive media player for your Mac that allows you to access various sources of audio and video content from one place
The application was designed to allow you to enjoy your favorite music and movies from YouTube, podcasts, radio streams, RSS feeds and iTunes music library from a single place. Each category is neatly organized into a compact pane that also shows the length of each track or video.
In addition to the main window, you can access your media through a menu bar panel, which, besides providing access to your favorite sources (TV, Web, Podcasts, RSS, YouTube, local files, etc.), it also displays the album art of the currently playing song and lets you control the playback.
Furthermore, the menu bar item offers access the the app’s station manager, station browser, Ravio library, Ravio Reader, as well as options to add a new station, reopen last station or close all stations. Each option can be accessed via simple keyboard shortcuts.
The station manager allows you to add and manage TV, radio, podcast or other types of media streams on the Web. Moreover, you can organize them by media type, URL type, audio groups, video groups, and browse them by station name, URL, URL type, group and media type from a compact list.
As mentioned, the app also includes a built-in RSS reader where you can add and read your favorite RSS news feeds. Ravio makes it simple to import feeds through OPML, Apple Mail or by manually entering the feed’s URL.
In a nutshell, the Ravio app is an all-in-one solution to browsing the video and audio media that interests you the most, supporting your local iTunes library and web content. It provides a space that aggregates your favorite media on the Web.
